So what a perfect time to say well done to Louise, who this month gained her Nursing Certificate in Small Animal Nutrition!
Let's hear from Lou:
'I have recently obtained a certificate in small animal nutrition. This is an area that I am particularly interested in and believe the correct diet is just as important in our pets as it is for us. As with people, nutrition plays a huge role in the health of our pets and can be one of the best medicines. Nutrition is often an area that can be undervalued and under appreciated. With the knowledge I have gained from my lectures/research, I am looking forward to passing this onto other colleagues and clients to ensure our pets have the best quality of life possible.
All advice will be unbiased and based on scientific evidence and up to date research, with everything tailored to the individual patient’s needs.
In veterinary practice, nutrition can be a huge help in disease management from easing recovery in acute conditions to helping to stabilise chronic disease.'
